Libraries as the Space Between Us

Updated: Feb 3, 2020

This article is about how the library is currently being used. The library used to be a place where people would go to get books and do research on their assignments or projects. Back in the days, when the first ever library was established, people would go there to do research and get help on their assignments. Nowadays, people can just trust the technology and search whatever they need on the internet by using their phones or laptops, which can be much more convenient. Not a lot of people want to go through the process of going to a library and finding the specific book they are looking for, then go through hundred of pages just to find what they were searching for.The article gives us many examples from different authors on how the library can be used as a third space.Third space is the time for yourself, a time where you can think about you next move. This can be between classes, during break time for players, a coffee shop, and the library. In the article, it explains how the library is used as a third space also. The point that the article is trying to make is that back in the day, the library was more beneficial to the society then it is now.
